Our Story

Why We Started This Site

This site exists because real questions kept coming up. People wanted to know which succulents actually thrive indoors. They wondered if glass terrariums were practical for their homes. They asked what made handmade work different from mass-produced alternatives. And they struggled with choosing meaningful gifts that weren't just another generic item.

We're part of quantmont OÜ, which has been creating handmade glass terrarium kits since 2019. Over those years, we've learned a lot from customer feedback, from the glasswork process itself, and from watching how terrariums perform in actual homes—not just in photos.

So we decided to put that knowledge into guides. Not marketing material. Not inspiration boards. Honest, practical information that actually helps people choose the right plants, care for them properly, and understand what they're getting when they buy handmade.

Every article starts with a real question. We research it carefully. We check our facts against best practices and our own experience. And we keep updating as new questions emerge and seasons change what matters most.

Our Process

What We Check in Every Guide

We don't just write about terrariums. We verify every detail against practical experience and current best practices.

Plant Hardiness

We research growing zones, temperature ranges, and which succulents actually survive indoors. Not every hardy plant works in every home.

Watering Schedules

We check seasonal variations, humidity levels, and how glass enclosures affect moisture. Overwatering kills more succulents than anything else.

Size & Dimensions

We verify terrarium dimensions, plant growth rates, and spacing. A guide that doesn't mention size isn't really useful for gift-giving.

Craft Details

We understand the glasswork and assembly behind our products. We explain what handmade means and why it matters for durability and design.

Gift Context

We consider shipping, unboxing experience, and who'd actually appreciate this gift. A beautiful terrarium isn't useful if it arrives damaged or doesn't match the person.

Seasonal Updates

We revisit guides regularly. Summer care differs from winter. New questions emerge. We update based on what our community actually needs.

Editorial Values

How We Write

Honest, Not Hyped

We describe products as they actually are. Handmade terrariums are beautiful and durable, but they're not for everyone. We say that plainly. If something has a downside, we mention it.

Specific, Not Vague

Watering "regularly" means nothing. We give actual guidance—water every 2-3 weeks, check the soil first, reduce in winter. Specificity is what makes guides actually useful.

Practical, Not Pretty

Yes, photos matter. But a guide that looks beautiful but doesn't answer your questions isn't really a guide. We prioritize clarity and usefulness over aesthetic perfection.

Current, Not Static

Plant care best practices evolve. Customer questions change with seasons. We revisit our guides regularly and update them when we learn something new or when feedback suggests a different angle would help more.

What We Focus On

Our research covers these core areas

01

Succulent Species & Care

Which succulents thrive indoors, how they grow, what conditions they need, and how to recognize when something's wrong. We research both popular species and lesser-known options.

02

Terrarium Design & Construction

How glass enclosures affect plant health, why size matters, drainage considerations, and what makes a terrarium functional versus just decorative. We understand the craft behind the products.

03

Handmade Glasswork

What differentiates handmade glass from mass-produced alternatives, durability considerations, and why the assembly process matters. We know the work that goes into each piece.

04

Gift Selection & Presentation

How to choose a terrarium that fits the recipient, what occasions call for which styles, and how to ensure the gift arrives in perfect condition and creates a good unboxing experience.
